The Niagara Credit Union has agreed to assist the Niagara Community Foundation
by enabling Niagara-wide donations through its 15-branch network."Because
we have branches throughout Niagara, we mirror the geographic scope of the
Foundation," said Sean Jackson, President and CEO of Niagara Credit
Union. "And that is why we are partnering with the Foundation by offering
to accept donations at all of our branches. This means that residents from
Grimsby to Niagara-on-the-Lake, and from Wainfleet to Fort Erie, can make
a donation to this new foundation at any one of our 15 branches."
"And don’t worry – we’re not in it for any kind
of profit. There will be no user or service fees for the foundation donations.
That no-fee status is something we offer to every charity and community
organization that selects us as their financial institution. We don’t
make a big deal of it, but it is just one more way that we try to help
those in our community whose business is helping others."
The credit union is promoting the Niagara Community Foundation in each
branch as well as on their web-site (www.niagaracu.com)
. Members of the Niagara Credit Union who are interested in making a donation
to the Foundation can do so through a teller. Receipts from the Foundation
will be issued shortly after the donation is received.
