Hosted by Niagara Funders Alliance and the Niagara Fundraisers Network, we welcome you to join us for our annual meet-and-greet with Niagara funders and fundraisers alike.
The day is divided into two parts:
PART ONE- Niagara Funders Alliance Roundtable | 8:30- NOON
Meet with Niagara Funders in this unique "speed dating" style event. Funders will stay at their table and attendees will rotate through the tables of their choice. Learn about grant programs, deadlines and meet the funders supporting your work.

Brascombe Foundation
To help assure the health and social well-being of Niagara’s people. Priority to poverty (food & housing) assistance and under privileged (mental & physical health).

City of Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls Cultural Development Fund – Open to Niagara Falls based artists, organizations or collectives. Project proposals can range from exhibitions to events, walking tours, workshops, panel discussions, lectures, public programs, art installations, project or concept development, heritage-related ideas, community celebrations, interactive experiences and performances.
Activity Subsidy Fund - Through its fundraising activities, the Recreation Committee allocates limited subsidies to individuals requiring financial assistance to participate in non-municipal community recreation activities. Funding requests are considered for a variety of recreation activities (e.g. soccer, baseball, music, dance, swimming, etc.).
Municipal Fee Assistance - The Municipal Fee Assistance Pilot Program was developed to provide residents with additional subsidies to participate in municipal recreation programs. Qualifying Families are eligible to receive: Children 17 and under – 50% discount on registered programs (1 per season) Families – Free Activity Pass for open swim and public skating. https://niagarafalls.ca/city-hall/committees/recreation/grants-funding.aspx

Designed to support the creative sector and strengthen the overall cultural ecosystem in the City of St. Catharines. The program invests in arts and cultural activities to enhance public life in the community.

PART 2: Niagara Fundraisers Network Education Session | 1 -3:30 p.m.
Join us for an afternoon of learning as we bring in some great speakers to learn from.
Guest Speaker 1: Penny Banks of Global Philanthropic Canada - Use your direct mail program to pump up your fundraising success! From concept to completion, this session will explore everything from finding to perfect story to saying thank you for your gift!
Guest Speaker 2: Unconscious Bias in Fundraising and Resource Allocation Facilitated by: Michelle Okere, CFRE – Principal, Okere & Associates
Workshop Description: This interactive session will delve into how unconscious biases, such as stereotypes and preconceived notions, can affect donor engagement, decision-making, and the distribution of resources. Through practical exercises and discussions, participants will gain a deeper understanding of unconscious bias and learn strategies to recognize and mitigate it. The workshop aims to create a more inclusive and equitable fundraising environment, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness of fundraising efforts and impact of resource allocation.
