Colby Hudson Collins Foundation
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the untimely loss of our cherished Colby Hudson Collins, who tragically passed away at the end of 2023 due to a rare lake-effect snowstorm accident in Buffalo, New York. After a brave struggle, Colby’s small body succumbed, and through our tears, we made the heart-wrenching decision to donate his organs, ultimately saving the eyesight of four other children.
Colby will always be a hero in our eyes, and we aspire for his legacy and memory to grow, making a positive impact in the world.
In honour of this legacy, a close family friend has coined the phrase "Colby 4 Ever," which serves as a reminder for us to live our lives to the fullest, as Colby was not afforded that opportunity. We choose to believe he remains with us, supporting our family and others.
In his memory, we have established the Colby Hudson Collins Foundation to provide meaningful support to young entrepreneurs who have graduated and are seeking alternative paths outside of traditional post-secondary education, much like Colby’s father, who became a realtor.
Similar to Colby’s father, who pursued a career in real estate and home building, both Colby and his brother Ryder have embraced a path of determination and entrepreneurship, exploring various professions such as trades, art, or other admirable careers like real estate and home building to join the family business.
We will establish an annual grant of $5,000 for graduates deemed worthy by our advisory board. This initiative aims to provide guidance and encouragement, assisting young individuals in taking their first steps toward a successful career.
We recognize that this is an underserved area in today's society and are committed to inspiring hardworking youth to pursue these opportunities. We believe that Colby’s spirit will play a guiding role in this endeavour.
