Niagara Artillery Fund & Museum Fund

The Artillery in Niagara can look with pride at being a vital part of the history of Canada throughout the years. In 1794, the first Artillery units in the Niagara Peninsula were raised consisting of four Companies with No.1 at Newark, No.2 at Queenston, No.3 at Fort Welland and No.4 at Fort Erie. Since then, Niagara’s Gunners have served their country throughout war and peace.

The local artillery unit is the 10th Field Battery, 56th Field Artillery Regiment, RCA. The men and women of the Battery rely on the same professionalism and esprit de corps that sustained those before.

With your support the Niagara Community Foundation will be able to offer much needed and appreciated financial support to Niagara’s Gunners for many years to come. The purpose is to support the well-being, welfare and efficiency of the members of the 10th Field Battery. Therefore, two funds are being offered by the Niagara Community Foundation to support this purpose.

The Niagara Artillery Fund will provide long term financial support to the 10th Field Battery.

The Niagara Artillery Museum Fund will support the care, maintenance and presentation of artifacts, objects, memorabilia, records and stories related to the gunners and the artillery of Niagara.
