Talosi Family Funds
Gary Talosi will be retiring on February 29, 2024, and there will be a Retirement Open House in his honour on March 2, 2024. Although the invitation clearly states "Best Wishes Only", Gary has already received a handful of gifts, and there may be a few more people considering giving a gift. Angie and Gary have requested that, if you insist, please consider making a small donation to a charity to honour Gary on his retirement. The choice of charity is yours, but Angie and Gary would like you to know that they have had two family funds for a few years under the Niagara Community Foundation umbrella. One fund supports the needs of the Port Colborne community, and the other fund supports the needs of the Welland community. The funds are set up as an endowment, and a portion of the growth each year is distributed back into the community so that the fund will continue to make an impact long into the future.
The Talosi Family Funds are both local community funds, providing granting dollars to NCF's Discretionary Grant Program. Through an application process, reviewed by a team of volunteers, eligible charities can apply for funding to support the unique and changing needs of their community. Local community funds ensure that the donations made to a specific municipality, stay within that municipality.
To support the Port Colborne community, please select "Talosi Family Fund Supporting Port Colborne ."
To support the Welland community, please select "Talosi Family Fund Supporting Welland."
Please use the online donation form below to donate directly to the fund or donate by mail or by phone, noting whether you are donating to the Port Colborne fund or the Welland fund. Please make cheques out to Niagara Community Foundation, noting the name of the fund in the memo line.

Thank you for your donation in celebration of Gary's retirement. These two family funds give back to the communities that have supported Gary and his work for so many years. Gary would be pleased to know that giving him a retirement gift has resulted in you receiving a charitable donation receipt. Thanks again, and keep smiling.
